Ive have this same issue on my end as well. Now, Australians are rather repulvant for typical problems seen now adays, but if this is happening to someone else as well, then its a for sure problem with the system.
I have tried the same methods, and come back with the same results. The only possible solution Ive figured out (And it may not work for ya'll), is to try opening the game in reverse.
In reverse, meaning to open the studio itself, then edit the game, but instead of clicking edit, you're running an autosave which seems to let the system run like it should. Otherwise, all other attempts to do so are absolutely off the wall. We all hope there is a patch to fix this common issue, but it seems Roblox has the tendency to ruin things for others by reverting or upgrading specific script lines to try and make something "Better".
If this doesnt work, then Im sad to say to wait for a patch to fix this common issue. Patience will be key to play this game, no matter how long you must wait. I hope this is at least little helpful for those. Cya guys back in Aussie-Land!!
