ADVICE 1: the clan you're developing WILL FAIL
unless if you:
a) are or have the backing of a front page game developer
b) have ALL of the following:
||| i) an abundance of robux (R$1M+) and for some strange reason decide not to instead convert that into $2500 via the developer exchange program
||| ii) high ranks who are capable of micromanagement and handling of gridlock and conflict
||| iii) officers who are passionate about your group and host quality events to keep the member base entertained
||| iv) knowledge of development or friends who know how to develop GIVEN they won't betray you or - going back to point A - you have enough money to pay them
c) are willing to accept receiving lower grades in school / sacrificing your social life / sleeping less
ADVICE 2: if you're an officer or high rank in a clan who is getting sick and tired of being one but wishes to "prove yourself" by continuing to work hard then GIVE THE HECK UP.
and alternatively, if you are underappreciated by your clan then GIVE THE HECK UP.
and alternatively[2], if you dislike being an officer or high rank in your clan *for any reason* then GIVE THE HECK UP.
you need to remember that clans are run by people with very little regulatory limits who can strip you of your position at any time. if they seem to not want you, then bugger off.
ADVICE 3: if you are trying to get with girls in clans then please reconsider yourself
this sounds like a typical edgy insult but i'm being dead serious
three years ago i was a desperate bowlcut asian kid with no irl friends who sent explicit photos to girls who lived thousands of miles away from me in an attempt to impress them
i realized i was a sore loser who would go nowhere in life if i continued treading the same trajectory, so i went outside, explored the country, and made hundreds of friends. i picked up religion which entirely reformed my moral compass (although anyone who knows me knows i'm still a terrible human being but it at least helped somewhat)
plus, the girls on roblox - LET ALONE clans - are not even attractive, for the most part.
the only reason a girl is on roblox is because they have some anxiety problems, some mental disabilities, or depression. why else would they not be living normal lives like going to the mall, a friends house, the gym, the pool, the beach, etc.?
ADVICE 4: seriously introspect why you're in clans
the golden rule of clans: if you're in clans knowing you have NOTHING to gain, except hours of bickering with those who are against you, don't like you, or whatever, yet you are still having the purest of fun, then by all means stay, otherwise you need to stop being in clans
this was me
i'm a developer who is proficient at building, scripting, and graphic design, have every capability to create a game that would make me thousands of dollars, and buy a retirement home (just kidding). yet i was spending all my time developing for people who didn't even want me to develop for them, because OMG I LUV FROSTERIA. years upon years of wasted time, effort, and a ton of disappointment when they kept on rejecting my hours worth of work. what a joke.
ULTIMATELY: if you a) KNOW that you could be making REAL LIFE MONEY by becoming a developer, b) not stressed about your responsibility within clans, and c) are having the most pure form of fun that roblox has to offer (and you KNOW what roblox has to offer besides clans), then go wild. OTHERWISE, you are wasting your life on this game.

ADVICE 5: your online social life IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE for a real life social life
i've been on roblox for what will be eight years in three months and i have less than ten people i can confidently call my friends, NONE of which i talk to on a daily basis.
your online friends may be cool and all but they don't last, especially if ROBLOX CLANS are the common bonding.

ADVICE 6: no matter what you do, you will receive an irrational amount of hate from people on C&G you don't even know, nor could you be bothered to know.
if you're okay with this then by all means proceed
if you're not okay with this then you might want to reconsider being in clans

honestly the NFU didn't feel like a huge waste of time, i really could have done it better and i sorta regret turning it into a standalone war clan (this was before i realized that starting up a clan from scratch was next to impossible, let alone to the scale of RAT even at that time)
i'm glad i fought the good fight but i should have just turned it into a standalone group of people who were opposed to the administration of RAT and the trajectory it was on while just playing some shenanigans with RAT like spies, trolling, raiding, etc..
the real waste of time was when TPHG, meto02 and polymorphic treated me extremely badly as a developer, creating a double standard for me and other people, and not only that but completely destroyed the theme of frostaria.
AND NOTHING I DID INFLUENCED ANYTHING TO GET BETTER OH WELL
