In 2045 a huge worldwide epidemic happened, an unknown virus sprang up, quickly putting it off as a bad flu, it turned out worse. It made people horribly sick. It has six stages, all are horrid, and painful. When the first one hit, it was no big deal, the United States Coast Guard came in, quarantining the areas of the cities. The first huge city to be completely infected was St. Louis, Missouri. Next it hit New York. And some immigrants had taken the virus to foreign countries, soon hitting Africa, Asia, Europe, The Americas and all were starting to be wiped out. Every government called for Quarantine Zones(QZ), these lasted for a year. Until someone unknown brought in the plague, killing all in the QZ’s. A lot of stuff was left intact, but is over ran with the infected. Same for most cities. Only few cities have power, cell service, water and such. And have great trouble keeping it running 24/7. About everything you can get, but takes a lot of time, and work. Everything has been almost wiped out, and gone. No real government stands. Just people picking which side they trust.
(NOTE: For factions, you don’t have to be in them, you can just support them, everyone is encouraged to have a faction they support)

Stages:
This virus is called Vika (vi-k-uh) Muio (mu-I-O) (VM).
An Eye Scanner (Proto-532) can tell the stage you are at. (If any S-1 you have a chance to be injected with a serum like think, taking away your infection level from S-1 to nothing. If past S-1 the serum does not work.
(Note: You are conscious and aware of what you are doing. But you can’t break what you are doing. Your body took control of that, you are just watching what is happening.)
S-1: Seizures, random black outs at random points, coughing up blood, high fever, light headed, pale skin.
S-2: White film develops on eyes. Hunger pains for anything living. Mostly humans.
S-3: Boils appear all over, if popped it releases a infectious. toxin out to anyone in a 2 meter radios. Stay away.
S-4:The subjects skin turns dark gray, and boils go away, you have no idea what is going on, you just hunger.
S-5: Hunger fills your mind, and your smell is enhanced, now your skin is starting to crack, and fall off slowly.
S-6: Barley anything left of you, just some muscle and bones. Completely gone.
S-???: Rumors have it that they walk among us, looking like normal people, but they need make up to hide the dark grey skin, and eyes remain the same as pervious life. Human intelligence still stays, but hunger for humans is greater, better vision in dark, faster, better stamina. Can take more abuse to body.
Factions:
The Masked Reapers
The main bandit faction. They are heavily armed, like a PMC, but do black market most of the time. It’s quite a hassle to get their services.
American Offspring
Pretty much the old United States all over, but less as powerful, and sure as heck not as good. They usual lack in supplies, and have about a dozen aircrafts in total. Their goal is rebuilding the US to it’s former glory before the outbreak.
CDC (Center for Disease Control)
Well known, they are hidden with the American Offspring, working on a vaccination so you’re unseen by the VM, and don’t have to worry if you somehow get bit. Keeping you immune. (All attempts have failed horrid; they have not gotten close to one at all)
The Aries
Wanting to help the people that are not infected, stay in shelters, stay away from VM’s, and keep safe at all costs.
