well who the hell else is he supposed to put in? Stripling? Baez? cause they've been soooooo much better than Blanton........... /s he's been the Dodgers' best reliever all year long, including most of the playoffs. just because he's gotten taken deep twice in 7 games doesn't mean he isn't the Dodgers' best option out of the bullpen. so no, you can't blame Dave for putting his best guy in the game, because it makes complete sense and it can't be on him that Blanton made a bad pitch to Russell.

lol Blanton has given up 7 runs in 3 innings and Baez has given up 2 in 3.1 in the NLCS. You tell me with the way the series is rn that doesn't look like a better option.

Baez practically lost game 3 of the LDS for the Dodgers, wasn't great in game 4 of the LCS, and last night was charged with 5 runs. he only got charged for 1 ER even though he committed an error (the error made all the proceeding runs not count towards his ERA), so it should have been 5 ER so basically, 6 runs in 3.1 innings for Baez, and 7 in 3 for Blanton (4 coming in one swing of the bat in a game) it's the lesser of 2 evils, i don't know how you can blame Dave for putting their 2nd best reliever in, he's been great for most of the postseason (and regular season) + Baez pitches so slow, so that isn't good for the infield/outfield lol
