Vehicle & foot escorts shall be conducted by the Secret Service. SS may request FPS aid when necessary. SS may decline any request made by a government official for a escort.
【VEHICLE ESCORTS】
A minimum of three (3) units are required for a vehicle escort.
The government official being escorted always goes in one of the middle cars in the escort.
In the event of an ambush, the car with the government official will immediately take off to the capitol and secure the official being escorted. The other cars will remain behind as necessary to deal with the threat.
If a person who is on the Homeland Security Terrorism Watchlist is seen, the escort is to immediately return to the capitol and secure the government official who is being escorted.
【FOOT ESCORTS】
A minimum of two (2) units are required for a foot escort.
The government official shall remain between all escorting officers.
In the event of an ambush, the government official is to be taken by at least one officer to a secure place. If it is not safe to escort the official back to the capitol on foot, an additional unit is to be called with a car to bring the official safely to the capitol.
If a person who is on the Homeland Security Terrorism Watchlist is seen, the escort is to immediately return to the capitol and secure the government official who is being escorted.
