You could talk to them anytime and leave their chat group anytime.
I know exactly what you're thinking, "Wow this idea is gr8, but monkeh don't you think we'll get spammed if we're famous?!?" No, because these requests (unlike friend requests) have a setting that turns it off and on. So you won't be disturbed if you're so famous. One person has to send the request, then the person it is sent to has to accept. If it's declined it won't make a chat group with the two of you (obviously).

Even if, that doesn't mean this shouldn't be added. There are people with parents that don't allow them to use Discord or other things like that.

I'm not asking for voice chat or face-face. I'm asking for them to allow us to make chat groups with followers. Instead of needing to open an app every time you want to talk to someone who isn't on your friends list.
Not asking for a bigger friends list limit, just a expansion for the chat group.

So if parents wont let you get discord and stuff why would they be happy with this..
And Skype, discord and curse are not just used for voice chat and face to face
