what do you think makes a person a good scripter?
1. a person that knows everything about LUA
2. a person who knows a little about LUA, but have imagination

1.He knows everything about c++, can say the meaning of every win32 function out of memory, and answers math questions using Lua.
2.He haz ate over 15 spamming noobs
3.He knows what Mellos law is (wut is it... >.>)
4.He has made a game with good scripting (this cuts out 99% XD)
5.He must spend all his time in script builder building maps out of instanced bricks. |

1 He has to use grammar
2 He has to say things which make atleast some sense
3 He has to never show us how progressed his scripting ability actually is
That's basically the qualifications for newcomers to the forum. |

Number 2 from the first post cant fit a "good" scripter, cause if they dont know how to script they arent a scripter, so I would say number 1 makes a good scripter, but they still need some imagination to come up with ideas. |

Meelo's law basically being if nobody works together so they are stupid and wont get anything done. I can't remember it exactly but thats basically what it is, long time since I checked. |

Meelo's Law is a graph.
The Y axis is Efficiency, and the X axis is # of scripters.
The graph acts like 1/x, where x>0 |

2) He obviously knows what he is talking about (I do!)
3) He knows a lot about a scripting language (like lua)

I wish I had an artist... I think one of the most, if not the most difficult part of making a game/website for me is making the graphical presentation. |

Its no work gets done if TOO MANY people work together. |

if a scripter know every bit of god but can't apply it cos he has no imagination thats no use
personally i can script most things and are all ways looking for a challenge. I know enough to make the stuff i need to do. i wouldn't say i'm the best scripter but i wouldn't say i'm a newbie, i think the only thing i can think of is a bit above average.
I can right most basic functions from scratch
I know most code affecting bricks models and humanoids
I can use tables to sort through bricks
I can use Body Gyro,Position,AngularVelocity,Velocity,Force.Thrust ect to my needs
I do not just edit other peoples scripts for my purposes
well i would but more down but i cba to remember it all |
