beat the brakes off of USC, beat an Ole Miss team that a weak later beat the breaks off of Georgia, beat an Arkansas team that demolished one of the best defenses in the nation (Florida), beat a hot Tennessee team that was 5-1 at the time in Knoxville, beat A&M when they were good and Knight was actually healthy, and shut out LSU in one of the toughest stadiums to play in
same can be said about Michigan, all 3 of their "quality" wins came at home, but i would hardly say Penn State and Colorado are "quality" wins when Colorado has literally beaten nobody good at all and Penn State seems to be just as overrated as those 3 teams you listed are (even when nobody hyped Arkansas and Kentucky at all but ok)
"LSU is the only ranked win they have and even then they only won 10-0 yet texas A&M can put up 40 against LSU's defense and LSU still lost to florida and is ranked in the lower 20's.

winning at LSU is a hard task for any team, like said above it's one of the toughest places to play, A&M put up those points at home with Trevor Knight back, and he is a pretty good QB lmao
quit acting like Michigan has played good teams aside from Wisconsin, Colorado and Penn State are just as "overrated" as the teams that Alabama played were. same with Ohio State, their only quality wins were against Wisconsin and an Oklahoma team that plays no defense whatsoever, as is usually the case for the Big 12
