Even though this topic is always spoken on the suggestions, I feel that this would bring a whole new audience to ROBLOX, if not, it should bring in a lot more interest to this game. What do people say when I tell them I play ROBLOX? "Ew you play a lego game for kids". I think this is because of the low age restrictions that the moderators placed on the site.
Even though 90% of parents let their children play games like GTA, and Mafia which is very inappropriate for a 10 year old; I think children 13+ can even handle mature content or at least vulgar language on the website. I own a game, and you do not understand how many times I see a 8 year old swearing his butt off over the keyboard. Not to mention games on the front page (Meep City) has a party system which is nothing but Online Daters doing grown up stuff on a lego game if you get my drift. What I am trying to get at, is that its 2016. Anything can be researched or discovered on the internet. Unless parents put a website blocker which can also be bypassed by a quick youtube search, children are going to get exposed to such content anyway at a young age no matter what.
I including many other players have been playing this game since single digit age, and now that we are teens nearing our high school graduation, we have a more understanding of the world. We arent 10 year olds anymore and I believe that atleast removing the chat filter or giving us semi mature content would improve the game in many aspects. Bringing an older audience, to thus come and create content, possibly building really fun games similar to Triple A titles.
Anyways I am just rambling on, but Mature content would greatly improve the site, removing the "Childish" aspect of it, and making ROBLOX a game for all ages. Great example of this being done is minecraft. Yeah the game was meant for 5 year olds, but look how many 30 year old dudes play the game, and they have full freedom of their actions of what they do.
Im not saying give us 100% freedom, then it would be filled with trolls and chaotic games.
I just want the restrictions to be slightly eased, like easing up the filters, giving creators a little bit more freedom, ect.
Thank you for reading my little suggestion.

I agree, and to be honest a lot of the older community is leaving because of how bad the community itself has become. |

NO! Terrible Idea. If Peoples Children Stopped Playing. Then Money Wouldnt Be Spent For Stuff Like Robux And BC. And More. If Roblox Had No Money. The Whole Website Would Come To A Stop. |

Cause Alot Of People Who Play The Are Children. |

Support. I unlike others, I agree with you. I find restrictions on things like the things ROBLOX puts theirs on is just absurd.

This is about giving more freedom, not kicking anybody under 13 out.
We need less hashtards and more misspelling. |

I fully support this. Yes, roblox is made for younger audiences, but older teens (Me, for example) want to re-live memories or hang out with other friends the same age as them. Then they would log on to realize how down hill the community has gone, and will leave for good.

They are dumbing down the site to lower the target audience, but this is largely intentional. They're catering to the new gen of milennial gamers, just like all the other game platforms. |

roblox is already 13+ just look at these club games
hi there how are u |

Just make a user that is below 13 unable to read a 13+ account's chat, or at least make it so that 13 below has Safe Chat [like how old Roblox did, ROOT!, Want to be friends? >(O_O)> Kirby dance, etc.]. And actually CENSOR, not censor words that don't need to be censored while others don't. I'm tired of talking to a triggered kid who won't stop cursing, and me wanting to do the same, refuse and try to go "uncuss war", where my response gets tagged and he goes on and on. trust me, if you've been in the servers I've been in, its been a tough time. along with exploiters, their just a pain in the ##### yo where did the old roblox go |

Do any of you saying that kids bring in money not realize that it's the parents(Adults) who are paying for the kids amusement? I do agree that Roblox has gone downhill and needs to do something about it, but at the same time restricting kids won't solve anything. The best solution is to just upgrade the old system and make 2 sides of the website, one w/ mature content and one w/o. Honestly though, at this point it's better to just grow up and either leave the platform or deal w/ it. |
