Well it's that time again. It's election time. Another time for Americans to elect their representatives to the United States Congress. The blossoms of democracy beacons around this time and it reminds us about what we have accomplished in such an amazing Republic. These times usually inspire me about the origins of freedom and the right to representation. That is why with great passion that I announce my candidacy for the U.S. Senate. I love serving the people of this great country and it would mean a great deal for me to represent you in the United States Senate. So I ask of you to instill your trust in me and allow me to put your mind at ease, for you to know that your freedoms are kept safe. For you to know that you are properly and efficiently represented in the United States Senate of these great United States. The work ahead of us is going to be very hard and it is imperative that we do it right so that the people of this country have faith in their government. My policies and ideas always have one thing in common -- putting America and its people first. I am NOT bound by my party. I am NOT bound by my senatorial colleagues, the only people that I am bound by is the American people. That is what you can expect from a Senator Mathilde Hansen.
If I am given the amazing responsibility of becoming your next Senator, I want to put the people first. I will propose a Senate committee on Jobs and Labor; This Committee will work with the Dept. of Commerce and Labor to keep a tab on how many jobs are being created and how Congress can help Americans get employed, and succeed. If I am elected I will work with the Secretary of Veterans affairs to ensure that we can pass legislation that will help, and benefit the men and women that have served to protect our rights as citizens.
Because the American people deserve new, passionate, and refreshing ideas that work for all of us, which is why I will also propose a term-limits bill before the Senate. This bill would restrict the amount of times a Congressman/woman can be re-elected. I’d do this to ensure that the American people will be given new voices -- new ideas, and a change that is desperately needed -- to end the trend of political apathy, it’s time that Americans are put first. NOT partisan ties, NOT personal agendas, NOT nepotism, we the PEOPLE deserve better than what we’re given. And I want to send a message loud and clear to the political dynasties: The American people -- and REAL public se########re no longer buying what you’re selling.
We need true leaders in this country, leaders that stand up for the average American. We don’t need the lies of the establishment politics, we don’t need it. We need someone that will stand up to the status quo, and work hard to unleash new and real possibilities for the average American. I have the passion, the will, and the drive to be your next Senator and to be a true public servant, and champion for the people.
