Okay, so as we move forward in character customization, one thing seems a little behind. In many video games, you can choose what shoes, socks, pants, shirt, and jackets you wear, also in real life. That is why I am recommending a layered clothing feature. They way it would work would be that there are 3 layers for shirts and pants (6 total) that would allow you to put any item in any slot, so let's say TBk made a good shirt and You found a cool sweatshirt, you could wear either above the other and a jacket or watch or glove in any layer. Or like shoes, socks and pants, and you could wear any pantsuit over any other. Ex: Hats:Beautiful hair for beatutiful people, Shirt 1(outermost layer): Red skater Jacket (100 sales) Shirt 2(middle layer) Cool tee shirt (200 favorite) Shirt 3(innermost layer): Blue Jacket for cool people Pants 1: cool sweatpants Pants 2: Brown Cargo Shorts Pants 3: Cool Basketball Shoes. And it would have a jacket over a shirt over another awkwardly placed jacket with a pair of sweatpants completely covering the cargo shorts and the shoes under it all. It would provide full customization and all items will be able to be put in any layer. Some benefits of this could be allowing Devs to raise prices on items so that you don't need to buy the same thing 10 times to match all your outfits.

Or you could just you know, grab the templates off those shirts and merge them into one image.

This would horribly unbalance previous clothing. There would be no way to seperate old clothing. in fact, the old clothings all use the old template. If this update was added, a new template would need to be added, meaning all previous clothing could no longer be used. This would cause an outrage because of all the people that bought clothing before, which is everyone r+://546568918

It wouldn't need a new template and most clothing would work fine with it

"It wouldn't need a new template and most clothing would work fine with it" Then it would mean the same thing. People would paint all over the avatar instead of making different layers. r+://546568918

I'm talking about being able to layer pre existing clothing, not making clothing for a specific layer
