[The following is a list of current nations/factions - and a brief history of how they came to be]
[NTR]
The NTR, AKA New Texan republic, came to existence in the early 2090's, during the collapse of the United states, it consisted of three major city's, Austin, El Paso, Dallas and Houston. the border then continued over to the coast. the population of the NTR was roughly 678,000 when it was founded, but as it expanded, it soon totaled in 2.1 Million, it also, has the highest META population in the united states, totaling at 190,000 Confirmed metas.
Due to the large population of META, the Texan government was hesitant to hunt down and fight against the metas, soon striving to strengthen ties between humans and metas, so far that Metas where given voting rights, freedom of speech, although the general population is still split over the opinion of metas, three anti meta groups have sprung up in the NTR.
the nations capital lies in the re-settled area of Austin.
The NTR is by far the most advanced nation in north America, there army is fully modernized, they no longer rely on pre-war weaponry, unlike nations that still re-use pre-war weapons, such as AK-47's, M4A1's, e.c.t
[ALDF]
The ALDF, AKA the American Last Defence Front, is what's left of the United states, consisting of the states Florida, then the costal states (such as Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama) all the way up to main, It is one of the largest nations around today, it was founded in 2095, after the old united states fully collapsed, its original population, 250,000, has grown extremely since the conquest of the old united states, now totalling at 2.9 Million, the ALDF are currently at war with the NTR, due to the ALDF's greed, the ALDF wishes nothing more then to see the Old US re-unite, and to see every meta in north America burned alive, the ALDF is extremely Anti-Meta, going on constant campaigns to cull the population, and although the northern area's nearly Meta free, the south, along the border with the NTR, has a population of roughly 11,000, the largest in the country.
The ALDF was target of a much larger bombing campaign during the war of 2055, thus it lies in near ruins, forcing the ALDF to start over completely, thousands of small junk towns scatter the northern area, along with two major city's, in the central ALDF there is Saint Louisville, built on what's left of Washington, it serves as the nations capital, and Jackson's town, on the border with the NTR.

Far up north, Canada still remains a nation, it remains the power house of the planet, since it was mostly untouched during the war, its population remains strong, totalling at 27 Million, it has a low Meta population, only 9,000 known metas in the area, the Canadian government is strong ally's with the NTR, so much so, that it has a unite of its forces, the Canadian Forces in the United States of America. this faction serves as "back up" for the NTR, they help police the junk town, the crib, around the border with ALDF, the faction itself has daily clashes with the ALDF, they are permitted to open fire on any ALDF who cross the border, and preform raids on the nearby city of Jackson's town. the force totals in 1,000 men and woman. they commonly use C19's.
This faction was founded by the Canadian government in the early 2100's, to assist there ally's during the war, and to help refugees of the newly collapsed USA.

Feral metas, metas born with an extra gene, it causes them to go insane, lose there mind, they lose control over there power, sometimes killing themselves with it, they are cannibals, flesh eaters, and generations of reproducing have left them mutated beyond looking human, there life span is only a few years, as there body's age rapidly, there flesh decays rapidly. they are a failed life form.
[MRA]
The MRA, AKA the Meta rebel alliance, is a group of metas that work to overthrow the ALDF, they are stationed in the small junk town, known as "the Crib", there numbers are small, just under 800, but they consist of the most skilled and dangerous metas on the face of north America.
