@Tran, There is things wrong with them. The main problem I have is that Roblox advertises itself as kid friendly and has a recommended age of 8-18. Kids under 12 are quite impressionable and gun games would not be good for them! Gun games have been proven to cause less of a physiological reaction to violence and other bad things. They also have been shown to cause increased aggression. So I guess you don't have to ban them for everyone just under for kids under 12.

Support, however, I have an idea for the "Ban Violent Games" threads : ROBLOX could make a setting called "Blood/Gore ON/OFF" and then kids can press the option OFF, located in the settings menu, then I think this option might fix something.

"The kids don't have to play them" - They don't have to but with the option there they probably will and it's bad for them. "It's 8-18" - Roblox target age shouldn't include ages 8-12 if they are going to have violent games like that. "It's Pixels" - It's still simulating killing a person and the kid is getting joy off killing them. "They can go back to club penguin" - You know your arguement is flawed when you resort to insulting.

@xRiley27 "Gun games have been proven to cause less of a physiological reaction to violence and other bad things." That's not slightly the case. In fact, there have been several studies proving the opposite. I myself have played all storts of violent games including Mortal Kombat, the ultimate in gory gaming since I was 7. This past weekend, I saw my boss accidentally cut herself, and I was about to pass out from the sight.

Also, I have no increased aggression from the games I've played, I'm one of the most mild-mannered people you'll ever meet. What people don't understand is that correlation does not imply causation. What's more likely is that the kids who are already aggressive are more interested in playing violent video games. In fact, if kids have a virtual outlet to fulfill their destructive needs, they'll be less interested in hurting real people and animals. There's a reason Japan has so little crime, look at how intense their media gets!

"It's still simulating killing a person and the kid is getting joy off killing them." The brain understands they're pixels, in fact, not just pixel people, but they're pixel BLOCK SHAPED people! You need to give the human brain more credit than that, the subconscious is a lot stronger than to just decide that killing a real person would be the same as killing a block person. There's a reason our species is no longer quadrupedal. If someone did have that track of thinking, then there was already something fundamentally wrong with them before playing any violent video game. And that problem is more than likely genetic or caused by a real life traumatic experience, not something virtual.

Our brains can't comprehend complex tasks like that, This is why we feel emotions while watching a movie ect ect - S̵̺̻̩̖̰̓͊́̐͑̈́͘͜͝͠ͅÄ̶̛͓͔̪̦̟́̑͊̓̓̕͜͠T̷̨̡̰̜̫͕̥̫̣͙̄͒͠͠Ą̷̨̰̉̕Ņ̷̲̫̺̑́̈́̿͆̃̈́͑̏̓́̔

@CodedFreak What are you talking about? Of course our brains can do that! Again, there's a reason why we're no longer quadrupedal. Why we can talk. Why we are capable of conceiving these kinds of topics. The reason why we cry when we see characters die is because the director was good at making us care about the character. However, when you see a character die, it's VASTLY different from seeing a real person die. You'll cry for, maybe twenty minutes with a character, but a real person will affect you for much longer, especially if you know them, even if just distantly. I remember, one of my classmates was kidnapped, I didn't know him well, I only talked to him during one class and we didn't talk about much either, but when I heard the news, it had my mind running with existential stuff for a few days. Meanwhile, I've watched several shows where I would spend plenty of time getting invested in the characters, only for them to die, and yet, I'm over it by the end of the episode. And the brain knows what's human and what isn't. It's part of being a carnivore/omnivore. It's what gives us the ability to eat meat without crying about the life it used to have. It's what helped us get to where we are today. We care about something that isn't our species far less than something that is. If we were capable of caring about other things more than ourselves, then we would've all died out long ago. The fact that we are here today is proof that we collectively as a species care about people. It's ingrained in our instinct, it's genetic and VERY hard to break. Our brain DOES know the difference.
