Hi guys, earlier this year I suggested that ROBLOX add a like/reputation to these forums. Obviously, it did not get much attention as I only wrote like a sentence. As you all know, most community forums have this feature and it's actually a really handy and cool thing to add. If you like a suggestion or idea, you can like that post and if it's liked by many, it can be in the trending category instead of just using views and replies.
Also, these like's should give you reputation under on the forums/profile. Reps would help us see who all is a "good" forumer and would also encourage people to create good posts and threats instead of blatant spam.
Honestly, I think that our forums are just kinda bland at the moment and could use something like this. Almost every other community has this feature and I believe its time we step up our game.
I don't really know how much time it'd take to add this feature in, but it'd be for the better. Instead of having the most post making you a good forumer, reputations would be how you would see who's a reputable member of the community.
If you support this idea, make sure to support it by replying. If you don't, feel free to explain how this would negatively impact these forums.

Can't you restrict mass upvoting by blocking users created under the same IP from mass spamming the like button. I mean yeah, this would effect siblings/other family members playing in the same home, but I don't think that's too much of an issue.
Also, by mass upvoting I assume you mean over like 100 upvotes. I honestly would not think anyone would be that desperate to upvote their post that many times. If they really would waste their time doing them, its jokes on them anyways.

I didn't read cause to lazy atm, but I will take an idea if it's like an idea that has a lot of likes because that way roblox will know what to pay attention to, and what everyone is focused on rather ideas just being bumped(even if it's a bad idea), that way there will be an easier chance of getting a response not to mention lots of happiness in the forums. Obviously, roblox would have the choice to say if an idea is truthfully good or not cause it's their opinions that matter. This is just my opinion on how it should be.

Troll accounts would just downvote/dislike something that we actually need, while upvoting/liking things we don't need in S&I.
It would be ridiculously hard to get good ideas to happen if this were implemented. |

Sorry clicked post to early, meaning that good ideas could get bumped and it's true bad ideas can get bumped but with this idea roblox would know what they should pay attention to rather then things that aren't worth paying attention to. |

The whole forum should be remade from scratch. We didn't get a major update since this thing was created and half of the features are broken. A perfect forum would be like Tom's Hardware where the whole website is fully community driven, with only a minor intervention of admins (most of the time it's just a small misconduct which they can solve themselves by editing the post). However, this is impossible to do with Roblox because of the average community age. In TH you need to be at least 15 or older to post, here we have children and adults posting stuff. |

When you think about it, there are more serious posters than there are trolls. I doubt the trolls would effect anything in a severe manner. Plus, by making posts trending, I mean it has to have at least like 30-50 like and I highly doubt anyone would go through the trouble of making 50 alts just to promote a topic. Another way to fight troll alts is by letting only accounts that have reached a specific age participate in the forum, this would greatly reduce the amount of trolling/bait that goes on around here.

Also about the spambots. I've seen many threads around S&I and the most notable one is about using captchas to reduce the presence of spambots. I guess we could have something as to where you will be redirected to a page to complete the captcha before the votes actually are counted.
