The camera service can be used to record and take photos in game and display them on decals and gui's.
Very usefull for making working cameras, epic replays, dead cams in shooting games.
The camera service can record and take photos from everywhere.
You can also record and screenshot what the player sees!
Functions:
RecordStart(Name)
RecordStartPlayer(Name, Player) --Records everything the player sees but the guis.
RecordStop(Name)
TakePhoto(Name) --Will also return the photo.
SetCamPosition(CFrame) --Local only.
After recording and taking photos a object called Video or Photo will return with it's parent set to nil.
VideoObject = RecordStop(RandomVideoName) --Sample, will return a video object with the name of the video.
Video and photo objects can be loaded into image guis and decals.
You can manipulate a video object by calling the functions, Play(), Stop() and Pause().
To load the objects in to a image object just call LoadInto(object) . --Object should be a decal, image button or image GUI.
The camera service is local so however the video and photo objects aren't!
It took me a long time to think this idea and to write this whole tread!
If this suggestion becomes reality this would make roblox the best game ever!
Think of thousands of new things you can make with this!

I meant the only method that I know of to replicating this idea through scripts. Just use gui colored pixels and raycasting. But it's extremely efficient and laggy.

If this update comes out we all will be able to make replay kits, kill cams for in fighting games to see how we got attacked, make working cameras that can take photos and videos and display them, we can even make something like a cinema!!!
This is absolutely going to be the best feature in roblox ever!

As great as that sounds, I think you're going a little too far. I think, at best, we'd get a camera-gui. A simple gui that shows whatever a camera is pointing at. That and uploading gif decals. Both would be very useful. Kill cams on the other hands would require simulating what happened, which can be done already. I don't think ROBLOX would add anything more than that as you can already recording ROBLOX with either the built-in recording feature or by using your own software.
