Hey there RPF veterans, have you noticed something new on this forum?
People are starting out small RP threads. Nowhere near the complexity of the great RP threads of the past few years, but still actual RP threads with character sheets. I have a feeling that we are witnessing a new rebirth of the RPF.
It'll start off with small steps, but eventually it'll form a vibrant community once more. I think it's our job as the previous generation to help these RPers continue to make these small-scale RPs. That way, we'll eventually see the next LNG257, successfulfundude, and other good RPers on this community.
I am pretty excited to be witness to this rebirth. |

I still lurk here, but it's a bad idea for me to join RPs anymore. I always let myself and the RP down, while getting myself into the action and making people dependent on me while I am in. |

Dude, just post things. I don't care if it's one sentence, but as long as your characters are moving along. Gargantuan is a bit slow as the other RPers are just trudging along. Might help if you started to post again.
That doesn't mean this rebirth isn't happening. Who knows, maybe I'll see this place grow again and be the old mentor from the previous generation. |

Uh, yeah, it was kind of obvious this place would have a revival without our intervention. |

I prefer the term "rebirth" as opposed to "revival", in this situation. |

Alright, not technically "my" theory, but I was the first to point it out.
The "theory" was that the new roleplayers (the ones mentioned in this thread) would begin to roleplay like 2008 roleplayers ( *Jim walked in room, holding his sword and gun in both hands* ) but would soon evolve into the roleplayers we are today, like how the original 2008 roleplayers did. |

You weren't the first one to point it out, you just pointed it out. Claiming "first" or that it was originally "your idea" is childish and rather stupid. It's not a hard concept to cone up with, and it's quite obvious that other people have come up with similar, if not identical ideas in that same time frame you did.
In a nutshell, don't try to credit yourself. |

I don't like this idea 'cause you'd be a person who's been there for a long time, but you're still surrounded by people you've never chatted with. Back before Bannanachair, everyone was here and nice and kind and friendly, but things have changed like crazy, out of nowhere.
The filter isn't even bad anymore, since they've tuned it down quite a bit, so I think everyone should come back, considering that the filter was the only reason they left. |
