Approved by Commandant VoIkov on 12/24/2016. As required in Ordinance 1-4, this guide shall inform and allow operators to learn to march and drill in an orderly and neat manner. ----------------------------------Disclaimers------------------------------------------- Non-Combat uniform must be worn for Drill/PT trainings. Training Instructors/DI's are highly encouraged to teach and practice these commands with their subordinates at every training in order to help everyone memorize them. DI are to adhere strictly to this manual. Wording and pattern should be identical so as not to confuse trainees. --------------------------------- Important Notes -------------------------------------- Rank = Row Ranks should be 1-4 studs apart based on DI's preference. Standard is two studs. A stud is the WIDTH of your arm/leg in-game, NOT the length. NEVER speak unless at the position of "Rest" (Not Parade Rest). If you need to speak, say "Permission to speak?" or "PTS?". If granted, speak. If denied, remain silent. BEFORE marching, DI should instruct Left, Right, or About Face in order to get the platoon into even columns. The most columns there should be is four. ---------------------------------- COMMANDS: FACES ------------------------------------- "Right Face" - Turn 90 degrees to the right. "Left Face" - Turn 90 degrees to the left. "About Face" - Turn 180 degrees. (Turn around.) ---------------------------------- COMMANDS: STATIONARY -------------------------------- "Platoon/Squad/(other), attention!" - Cease movement and face the starting front of the formation. Do not talk. Prepare for commands. "Fall in" - Form a formation at the position of attention. "Fall out" - Drop out of formation. Can be specified by the DI where. "Present Arms" - Execute a hand or rifle salute and hold it until given the command "Order arms" "Order Arms" - Cut your salute and return to the position of attention. "Dress right, dress!" - Using the Dress Right Dress tool provided in-game, individuals (Except those on the extreme right of each rank) will raise their left arm and space themselves out so that their left hand touches the person to their left. Maintain this position until given the order "Ready Front". "Ready Front" - Those executing Dress Right Dress will lower their arm and return to the position of attention. "Parade Rest" - Individuals interlock their hands behind their back. "At Ease" - Individuals are permitted minimal movement, but must remain in place. They are allowed to turn. Speaking is not allowed. "Rest" - At ease, speaking is allowed. ---------------------------------- COMMANDS: MARCHING ---------------------------------- "Open ranks, march!" - Ranks spread out from one another. Often used before commencing inspections. Gap between each rank should be about 6 studs to accommodate room for the DI to walk between each line with at least one stud between their arms and the individuals in the ranks on either side of them. "Close ranks, march!" - Opposite of Open Ranks. Ranks return to original spacing. "Counter-column, march!" - The platoon is ordered to reverse direction while marching. The columns neatly turn in on themselves and at the end of the movement the entire marching column has reversed direction. "Forward, March" Begin marching forward. Instructions to turn are not required if a destination has been stated already. Otherwise, follow the DI or their commands given during marching. **FORMATION MUST BE MAINTAINED AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. "Platoon/Squad/(other), Halt" - Stop marching. If the formation is messed up and/or untidy, fix it. "Column Right/Left, march!" - Marching column turns 90 degrees to the left or right. NOTE: The entire column does not turn at once. The column will turn like a moving car with the leaders going to the right, followed by the rest of their ranks. ------------------------------------COMMANDS: WEAPONRY---------------------------------- "Present Weaponry!" - Equip your standard primary firearm, or sword if it is your only weapon. If at modified At Ease with your weapon lowered, bring the weapon back up. "Order Weaponry!" - Holster your equipped weapon. "At Ease!" (Modified) - If a weapon is equipped, lower the weapon. "Take aim!" - Aim and prepare to fire at the specified target. (ONLY EXECUTED IF THE PREVIOUS COMMAND WAS "PRESENT WEAPONRY") "Fire!" - Fire at the target specified with "Take aim".
