"A Matter of Concern"
This new wave of criminal activity that is plaguing our cities and towns across America has caused concern for citizens and security personnel alike. Today, I interviewed a bank guard in Vegas, an area hard hit by bands of criminals. When he was asked about the criminal activity that he has seen, we were interrupted by a hail of gunfire in our direction by a mob of criminals armed with assault rifles. We took cover within the bank and continued the interview. He stated that the LVPD has gone to great strides to keep the city safe but even that is not enough. He further went onto share how often he has had to hold off a potential heist by groups of criminals as large as 8 strong. We finished the interview by asking if he believed there was any hope for change. His response was one of despair, his answer, staunch.
"At the rate these crimes are happening, no, no I don't see any end in sight." In recent weeks, crime has been rampant and his story is one of many shared by a majority of officers and security professionals.
