The Scientific Division is the most important part of the foundation. They are responsible for conducting all tests and achieving new information on Special Containment Procedures for SCP's.
Section 1: Testing Rules
You can test on any SCP, however you must have a high enough Keycard to test on it, so if a SCP requires a Level 3 Keycard, then you have to have a Security Clearance of Level 3.
Section 2: Ranking up
To get ranked up from Applicant to Assistant Researcher, you have to send in an application, however to get ranked up by then you get ranked up by Activity and how many Tests you run. However, Head Researcher is chosen by the Scientific Director, and the Co-Director is also chosen by the Scientific Director, but the Scientific Director is chosen by The Administrator.
Section 3: Item Handler
Item Handler may be the most interesting rank in ScD, the Item Handler is somewhat like a Class-D, however it's voluntary and can be of any Security Clearance below Level 4. An Item Handler is used after testing to lure SCP's back into cells, and if the event of a containment breach, used to lure SCP's back into cells by helping MTF.
Section 4: Uses of Class-D's
The use of a Class-D is important, but it isn't chosen based on the level of the SCP. So say SCP 173 is Euclid, but needs 3 Class-D's to be used, SCP 035 however which is Keter, needs only 1 SCP to be used. It all depends on the SCP, so an SCP that can move around AND kill people requires at least 3, at max 8. While a SCP that can kill but NOT move around, only requires 1.
Section 5: Applications
Your application must be sent to the Director, or Co-Director of ScD.
