I caught the grenade launcher, and snapped it to my target, calculating arc and the other factors effecting it's aim. Satisfied, I fired two shots aimed at both of the armor's legs. I also fired another round at a man charging with a sword. |

The alien had fired the grenade launcher. A round flew towards me, but I slipped and fell backwards, the round whizzing over my face. Stunned by still being alive, I quickly got up, and walked slowly. |

The two rounds exploded near enough to the armored man to drop him to his knees. The other round missed the second man on foot, but the shrapnel probably would have done significant damage to his back. I took the opportunity and charged at the armored man. |

Severe pain enveloped by back, making me fall to my knees. The sword dropped from my hand. I tried, several times, to pick it back up, but my fingers wouldn't respond. I was scared to look backwards, in case I saw the worst. I dropped to all fours, vomiting up a teaspoon of blood and bile. |

I leapt onto the front of the armor, and climbed to the back, clawing and biting through important cords and panels. Both of the arms stopped shooting and fell without energy. The missile launchers sporadically went off before running out of ammunition. I let myself fall off and walk to the front as it fell backwards. The man inside could not escape it crushing his body and limiting his movement. He did remain alive though. |

Being that the confrontation was over, I crept closer to the overlord while giving him a wIDE berth and keeping to the shadows. |

I groaned in pain loudly, as a foot hit me in the back, causing more bleeding of the wounds, and rather large bruising. I managed to mutter, "You will all be killed, and WE shall prosper again!" |

He attempted to say something, but was unable to. "You are not worthy to serve in my forces." I spat, as I killed him quickly with my tailblade. |

I limped over to the dead commander's corpse. I stared at the being who had killed him. "You...you...you...MONSTER!" I yelled the last part. Hoping he would kill me, I aimed a punch at him. It was a slow punch, one that could be easily dodged by anyone, even a rock. |

I grabbed the human's arm and threw him to the ground. "Yes, I am a monster." I assured. "And you will become one very soon. I aimed a punch at his temple, just hard enough to cause him to pass out for a good amount of time. |

I rapidly crept into view. I was a basic Proeliator, but appeared to have thinner skin and a large claw portruding from each wrist. "glad that was over." I hissed. |

Rashnak stared at the dead commander with cold eyes. Suddenly, he snarled and raised the butt of the gun that he had snapped in half, smashing the dead man's skull in violently. |

"NO-" The punch impacted on the side of my head, at my temple, making me see stars. Dark red tinted my image. I was still alive, but barely. I tried fighting back the darkness that threatened to envelop my mind. Somehow, when all hope was lost, a beam of light entered my mental image.
Sophia. My wife.
Seeing her again gave me enough strength to fight back unconsciousness. I kept my eyes closed, however, in case they noticed my eyes. |

Rashnak glanced over at Leven, snorting and dropping the blood covered butt of the gun. It landed on the dead commander. Rashnak was a normal Proeliator, with some differences.
His exoskeleton was completely destroyed in almost every area of his body, save for his back, where the armor was simply extremely thin, and with many small ridges and scars. He also had a large, deep red scar that went from his nose, to northeast, all the way back to his scalp.
Other than, he appeared rather normal."They died, along with much of civilization." he replied to Leven. |

"So they did," she said, sounding almost bored with the events that had just unfolded and the subject they now discussed. She walke over to the commander. "Well, his face is sufficiently rearranged."
