Hi!
Now I am not a big developer, but I made a few small games once.
I made a game that got 200 place visits, and I would get 1 ticket per visit, but with the removal of tickets small developers like me lost lots of money.
Even bigger developers are being affected. Now they have to get gamepass/developer products sold and that affects gameplay. Most games have some type of pay to win feature or VIP now, and most of the time they no sense in that type of game. It's annoying for us gamers who just want to play because now we have GUIs on the side flashing at us saying GRAVITY COIL or ADMIN.
If roblox could do anything to compensate, even something like 10 place visits (or higher) = 1 robux (or higher) just to make up for the lost currency and to overall make gamers have a more relaxed gaming experience.
What do you guys think? |

As you can see, it has no gamepasses? How is he getting revenue?
It's from buying ingame currency via robux. Making gamepasses is not the only way to get revenue.
Some games, like Strife! [Alpha], gets revenue by selling t-shirts and shirts made by the art team. Then they use the group revenue to add more features like audio to their game.

I agree, perhaps 1 Robux per 10 visits would work?
I would be a non-profit developer if Roblox hadn't removed that system. I mean everyone needs something from their games for more ads and stuff.

No support. Even if you made 1 million visits, 1 visit was 1 ticket, and 20 tickets was one robuck, 1 million visits divided by 20 would only be about 50k ROBUX. However, if you had a gamepass worth 100 ROBUX, and 500 copies were sold, you would still have made the same amount of tickets. Truth is, tickets were barely worth anything in the grand scheme, and even if they were added, they would never be. |

50k robux is a lot when you use devex. you can easily get a front page game with 2M visits. also when you converted your tickets that you made from a 10k+ visit game you were able to get a decent amount of robux (depends on the trade system)

I disagree completly
Most times ROBLOX loses money on small devs.
because even though some people are playing their game. ROBLOX has to store all your place information in their servers, although it may not seem like much... Think of how many small developers are on ROBLOX? A LOT!
They lose money on small developers so they stopped rewarding them.
ROBLOX isn't all about ROBUX.
ROBLOX is about making games for people to enjoy. ROBUX is a biproduct that just comes to the very successful devs.
This isn't a place to make online currency. It's a place to have fun.

I never said they should re-add tix.
I'm not "begging", I simply made a forum to see how others think too.
And why would they "stop rewarding" small developers? I feel like thats just plain stupid because everyone was a small developer at one point. Use unnoticed developers can sometimes have the best and most unique games, but we don't use the click bait titles/pictures.
And you might say "oh just advertise your game". How? When we get.. hmm.. lets say 10k place visits but no gamepass sales or dev product sales we can't even use currency to advertise because WE HAVE NONE.
It's a loop hole in my mind. |

Replies like this are very annoying because whenever there is a clickbait game it gets disliked and the developers get bad rep very fast.
We want a REAL answer to this problem, we don't want to start scamming people with clickbaits, and I am sure they don't want it to start happening either. |
