I was following the Spirit Sucker again-who I was calling Alex, for lack of a simpler name. I was on a roof, his presence hitting me like a wave. I had grown accustomed to it. Being an orphan really helped to. No parents to worry about me, no need to head back every hour. I could just follow him, buying food, and water, and sleep inside the nearest building-both to warn the occupants and to get that much need rest-whenever Alex does the same. I've been doing it for almost 3 years now. My story was around 572 pages, so I was only about 57% done. I had another 3 years ahead of me, and when this hits stores, I wont have to buy food. I can snap my fingers and get some. But I wouldn't. I would work on a sequel. I knew-just knew- that i would find a second Spirit Sucker. But where?

Alex was very interesting indeed. I had an idea-a dumb idea, but an idea-What better way to learn about somebody then talk to them. If I could become his friend, I could write the personal things, maybe even discover his real name! I sped up and tapped him on the shoulder. I was almost blown back by the sheer power, but I didn't care. My story on Alex was gonna blow everyone away! I half expected him to suck my soul, but then I remembered that as long as he has fed in the last 3 days, I should be fine.
