This filter is absolutely ridiculous. To correct my first reply I made, the hashtagged words are: # # # # # # # ##### ### ~Virgil~ |

you can't ########## the morals of a culture though and if anything, the perpetuation of said culture only exists because of our failure to produce any sort of meaningful intervention to said violent culture |
|

The perpetuation of this culture is on the hands of the left who persist that the African Americans are in poverty because of forced servitude that occurred two centuries ago. This blame game does not lead to productivity, but rather leads demands for compensation from a group that disgrace their ancestors by not being appreciative of the freedoms and equality they begged for and deserved. Rather than try to exploit ########## for votes, why don't we let them thrive off of their own merits and capabilities, rather than subjecting them to the shackles of government hand outs. ~Virgil~ |

1. the "two centuries" number ignores the fact that official ########### ended literally 50 years ago 2. you can't say that they're not appreciative of freedom? how are they not appreciative of the freedoms they have? 3. government handouts are what they are- a way to boost families, often single-parent, often below the poverty line, to help and allow them to dig themselves out of the situation yes certain people take these for granted, but why should the ones that don't otherwise be left out to flounder on their own? when government fails, chaos ensues. in my opinion, it is the role of government - the people - to help those in need that can use that help towards a good cause |

The government and the people are not the same thing. It is a government of the people, by the people, for the people. It is not a government of the government, by the government, for the government. As for giving hand outs to help people, you aren't in most cases. You are conditioning them to rely on the government's money, which comes from taxpayers who work for a living.
If they need additional money, leave that to charity, not higher taxes and more government power. If you shrink the latter, you will always get more of the former.

first, the government represents the people in the US
second, you're operating under the assumption that people don't have jobs because they don't want them. it's very hard for people that don't have degrees, that don't have job experience, that were convicted because they made a mistake to find a job that pays close to enough. government handouts exist because there is no charity to fill the needs of those below the poverty line as well as the government does currently. if welfare was removed completely, those dependent on welfare (either as a majority of living money or as the necessary supplement) would suffer immeasurably while charities attempted to raise enough money to pick up the gap.
it's like an addiction; it can't be cut off, it needs to be treated. but there's no real functioning treatment most of the time, unlike addiction. if we take it off, they suffer from withdrawal bad enough that the working class loses what little they have. |

If you are born into poor living conditions where the quality of education is low and crime is high than you are more likely to perpetuate crime. This is especially true when the culture you are part of has strong roots in detesting and distrusting authority. While racial discrimination has been dealt with relatively well with only minor inconsistencies still present, discrepancies in socioeconomics and the anti-establishment culture catalyzed by discrimination still strongly persist. |
