Here at Le Cafe de la Mar, all guests and staff are required to oblige by a Code of Conduct. Our Code of Conduct is fairly simple. If followed by, Le Cafe de la Mar can become a family and a group together. Everyone, and the property of Le Cafe de la Mar, must be shown respect and equality.
Our Code of Conduct goes along with the basic ROBLOX rules, so you must follow those as well when anywhere of group property. Not everything will be included in our Code of Conduct, but it is expected that everyone follows basic human courtesies. Treating all with respect is something we feel should go without mentioning, but have noticed is not always followed. So therefore, it among other things will be mentioned below along with a brief description.
MR/HRs (Interviewer in Training +) are also required to follow all Code of Conduct rules. Being an MR+ can sometimes get overwhelming, and some act as if they are above everyone else. Not all of them, but it is definitely reminded that our MR+ make sure that they are also following the Code of Conduct. This goes for HRs and SRs as well. A separate guideline thread specifically addressing MR+ can be found within the handbook.

| GRAMMAR |
Grammar use is required for all staff of Le Cafe de la Mar (Trainee +). The lack of grammar will result towards a warning. Three warnings will lead to a demotion. You can read more about warnings in the miscellaneous information section of the handbook. Basic grammar includes punctuation, capitalization, and spelling (try your best). Medium Ranks + are also required to use grammar, and if caught not using it will also be warned. Note, Medium Rank+ warnings are taken much more seriously and are kept track of unlike LRs (Trainee - Head Chef).
Example of incorrect grammar: hello and welcome to le cafe de la mar my name is spark and ill be helping yall today so like what can i get for you
Correct example: Hello, welcome to Le Cafe de la Mar! My name is Spark, and I will be helping you this evening. How many are in your party?

| RESPECT |
Respect is a HUGE part of our Code of Conduct, and the lack of it will be punished severely. The meaning of it is pretty simple, treat anyone and everyone with the utmost respect no matter who they are, or what they are doing. If a troller is being rude to you, treat them with respect and follow the basic trolling procedures. To learn how to properly deal with a troller, see miscellaneous information in the handbook. If they are being extremely rude and insulting you, please don’t argue with them or insult them back, as that can be used against you. When dealing with customers, act kindly, use proper grammar. If you make a mistake, apologize and ask if you can make it up to them. Do not question or correct them, as the customer is always right!

| DO NOT BOAST |
This goes for all ranks, do not boast about a promotion or say that a certain MR + favors you over others, or anything like that. Accept a promotion with generosity, and feel free to mention it to others, but do not brag or boast about it.

| DO NOT START DRAMA |
Do not accuse people of doing something, do not make fun of someone for something, or purposely create drama because of a dispute between you from out or in group events. Starting drama will most likely end up with the both of you getting warned, or depending on severity, demoted. If you have a dispute, take it elsewhere.

| DO NOT USE FAVORITISM |
This mainly goes for just Medium Ranks and above, but do not promote people because they are your friend, or treat someone in a certain way depending on their relationship to you. This can also happen with Low Ranks as well, where they will only serve their friends at the cafe, or tell people to say good things about them to an MR + so they will get a promotion.

| DON’T TRY TO CHEAT |
By this, it means simply do not try and cheat your way to a promotion, etc. Do not ask people to put in a good word with the Medium Ranks +, or to rate your service. Do everything instructed in the ‘Serving Instructions’ part of the handbook and you should be fine! Don’t try to find loopholes, don’t try to outsmart the Medium Ranks+, etc.

| DO NOT ASK OR ‘HINT’ AT PROMOTIONS |
This is a huge problem that we see, where staff will approach a rank capable of promoting them, and say how good they have been working so they will get a promotion. Or we will often see people complaining about how long they have been a rank, or just flat out asking for a promotion. Asking for a promotion will result in the exact opposite, a demotion. Nobody wants that. Work hard, use grammar, and be active, and you are sure to be rewarded in no time! For Medium Ranks +, do not promote people because they ask, warn them and/or demote them.
