The Grand Empire of Great Britain: Field Manual ■▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬■ Field Manual: Standard Musket Commands: Volley Fire: Everyone in the Shoulder to Shoulder line will fire at the same time. Ripple Fire: Fire By File is where one person fires from the officer’s side and the soldiers continue to fire their way down the line. Fire At Will: The soldiers that receive this command will fire at their own rate as well as reload at their own rate. *If bayonet is attached to your weapon, you will reload anyway Blanket Fire: Volley Fire is where an Officer specifies the amount of rounds to be fired and the line will shoot the specified amount of rounds until completed. Fire and Advance: Every even person will take one step back, musket length, to form a separate "Zigzagged" line. There should be a one soldier length in each line. The first line will fire and reload. Meanwhile the second line will advance in front fire and reload. Then the first line will advance forward and continue the process. This should be done independently without error from the soldiers. Fire and Charge: In order for this command to work, the commanding officer must order the attachment of bayonets. The officer, after ordering make ready, will say "Prepare Fire and Charge." When the present is ordered, and Fire is ordered, the rank will fire, and then charge till the "Fall Back" command is given. Charge: This command is to be given after the rank has fired, or before. Musket Positions: Slope Arms : [G] Advance Arms : [J] Cary Arms : [F when in Shoulder Arms] Trail Arms : [K] Make Ready : [Left Click] Present : [Zoom in and Right Click] Brace Arms : #X##########rms : [Right Click while in Brace Arms] Jab : [Left click while in Brace Arms] Ground Arms : [Put away] Reload : [R] Order Arms : [H] Firing Commands: Firing Commands will be standard throughout the entire British Empire. Shoulder Arms! : [F] Unless you are already in shoulder arms. Make Ready! : Press [Left Click] Present! : Put your musket so it is facing the enemy. Fire! : Shoot your musket. Reload! : Reload your musket. [RELOAD MAY NOT BE USED AT A CERTAIN PLACE AND OR TIME, THIS WILL BE SPECIFIED BY THE LINE OFFICER] Jab: The soldiers in the rank will wait for the "Jab" command, and then will spam the key of [X and then Left Click] until “Cease” is ordered. Sabre Commands: Present Sabres : Take out Sabre. Slash : Click once. Seath Sabres : Put away Sabre. Formations: Stagger: A stagger formation is a zigzagged formation. The closest man to the officer will fall back at musket length *with bayonet attached, away from the man next to him. From this point on, every other man will fall back at musket length all the way to the end of the rank. Wedge: The wedge formation is a triangular formation used to quickly take control of a battle field, but protect the officer at the same time. To form said formation, At least seven people are needed. The two people on the ends of the formation will stay put. The two right next to the ends will move up at musket length, with bayonet attached, next the middle man will move up to the top in front of the two inner men. This middle man is the person who is having the formation formed on them. The commanding officer, and the second in command will fill the middle of the formation forming a wedge. Arrow Head: Arrow head is a triangular formation. It is formed the exact same way as a wedge, but the middle is not filled with commanding officers. All other steps should be followed in forming it. Square: You will form a square around the officer, unless commanding officer says otherwise. Circle: You will form a circle around the commanding officer, unless commanding officer says otherwise. Take Cover: Take cover is not a technical formation. But, it is used to protect from enemy fire on the battlefield. When the commanding officer gives the order, the men of the platoon will run for cover, and if possible, crouch down and wait for further instruction. *For officers. It is recommended that you order the removal of all hats for the secrecy of the platoon. Turns: Left Turn : 90 Degrees to the Left. Right Turn : 90 Degrees to the Right. About Turn : Turn 180 Degrees *Clockwise Center Turn : Face the Commanding Officer. Left Incline: 45 Degrees Left. Right Incline : 45 Degrees Right. Line Commands: Hold This Position: You will break out of the line and form a new one on the right of the officer. Center: You will break out of the line and form a new one on the Left of the officer. *Not Center Face* On Me: Create a Single File line behind the officer. Line it Up or STS: Form a Shoulder to Shoulder line in front of the officer. *There should be but ONE stud in between each soldier. No more no less. Techniques on how to make the line straight can no be described through words.
