The following is to help all members of HTCO in a quick an easy promotion. Below are the ranks and their specified designation. The combination of two letters followed by a number is called a paygrade, this is a shortened way of pronouncing a rank, however, you never address somebody by their paygrade, you will always address them by their full rank or rank abbreviation.
Ranks:
Junior enlisted ranks, JEC (Junior Enlisted Combat):
JEC-1 Recruit (Pass basic combat training)
JEC-2 Combatant Second Class
JEC-3 Combatant First Class
Combat Non-Commissioned Officer, EC (Enlisted Combat):
EC-4 Lead Combatant
EC-5 Sergeant
EC-6 Technical Sergeant
EC-7a Squad Sergeant
EC-7b Instruction Sergeant (MTIC [Military Training Instruction Corps] only)
EC-7c Lead Instruction Sergeant (MTIC only)
EC-8 Senior Sergeant
EC-9a Command Sergeant
EC-9b Master Command Sergeant (Any unit Company+ will have a EC-9b that over sees all enlisted activity)
EC-10 Senior Enlisted Advisor
Junior Officers (JO):
JO-1 Probationary Lieutenant
JO-2 Lieutenant Lower Class
JO-3 Lieutenant Upper Class
JO-4 Major
JO-5 Colonel
JO-6 Commander
JO-7 Captain
JO-8 Captain First Class
General Officer ranks (GO):
GO-1 Half General
GO-2 Brigadier General
GO-3 Lieutenant General
GO-4 Full General
Military Leadership Staff (MLS):
MLS-1 Deputy Commanding General
MLS-2a Assistant Commanding General
MLS-2b Commanding General
How to be promoted:
If you want to be promoted in HTCO you must pass a certain amount of trainings and tryouts. Passing any unit tryout will get you an automatically promoted and you will be allowed to join that unit. You will not be promoted however if the next rank is that of Lead Combatant.
Recruit-Combatant Second Class: You must pass a basic combat training hosted by an MTIC official
Combatant Second Class-Combatant First Class: You must pass an advanced combat and tactics class hosted by an MTIC official
Combatant First Class-Lead Combatant: Take a Primary Leadership Course hosted by an MTIC official
Lead Combatant+: You will be promoted from within your unit once you reach Lead Combatant, ask your Unit Commander for more information.
