Believe it or not, you're naive if you think winning is a bad thing. Think about this logically, would you rather go into the real world being a confident person with great leadership skills, or would you go into the workplace complaining that people are doing better than you? Are you a feminist or a logical person? Excluding real life, power-clans bring a lot of activity into the community. Historically speaking, power-clans such as CSP, VAK, SF, VOID, etc, could rally MASSIVE amounts of people with ease. You know why this is? People enjoy winning. Even today, it's power-clans that are still more active than regular clans, even though the regular clans have about 500x more members than they do. If power-clans expanded, they would bring life back into the clan world, not kill it.

Power clans don't last, when the hype is gone, or important high ranks move away from the clan, the members will either quit and follow the important high rank or stay in the group and seeing it die slowly.

"If power-clans expanded" this is dumb consdiering they dont let newer plays in at all Also, the activity in power clans was already in other super clans, power clans only got members previously in the clan world as super clans. They're just recycling those members. So they take away let's say 5 active members from 10 super clans. They have 50 active RCLers. Big whoop. Now they raid those super clans who'll lose their newer members who get 0-50'd...

but power clans don't bring in any new people. its the same people who are being active, not new people, and without new people the clanworld starts to faulter

No. It's because of group dynamics. Power clans are smaller than your typical super clan (DUH) Power clans range in the few thousands of members, thus giving the bonds formed by their members greater depth. Super clans work differently due to their size. They have a wider array of bonds you could form but with generally less depth. Doing nothing but narrowing your clan's focus to win means you are absolutely in no way unique. Your purpose does not demand anything more of you than to do what it takes to win. Anyone who isn't doing the same gets overlooked and slowly excluded. Power clans, because they are exclusive and form tight social bonds, mean they create stagnation and repetition / monotony. Only people who enjoy the ego stroking they get will bother to stay in such a boring and repetitive linear track. Therefore, they don't bring much benefit to the clan world at large because instead of inviting more people into clans they repel them away. Not that super clans do much of a better job, just that power clans typically develop in the same way as VAK/FOA/TGI/SC/SF/RAA etc and do very little more than follow a narrow / linear clan model.
