Ideally I'm looking at making a type of raid system that I at least haven't seen before. Basically, it's 3 different types of competitive combat: capture the flag, tug of war, and like generic terminal. At the start of the raid, when it becomes "official" - each team member can vote on what type of raid they want from the given choices. Majority wins and the duration of the raid is spent with the winning raid type. Cap the Flag: There are flags on either side and the first to make it to x number of captures wins Tug of war: an object starts in the middle of the arena and standing near the object makes it start to move toward your teams base. First person to get the object to their side x number of times wins Terminals: Duh. Pros: Different Fun More dynamic Cons: Different modes could be better suited to different sized raiding/defending group sizes People hate change Higher potential for bugs and stuff being broken ???: Not traditional Have to use different tactics for different modes People will always choose Term. @os it would prolly be setup for certain # of members on each team = official then when it's official, every1 is respawned progress cant be gained when its not official ive been thinking about a CTF for f:ex, might use it.

I like the capture the flag and tug of war ideas. It gets really repetitive when all you see are these standardized terminals. Have you thought of an objective based capture system?

@os like pl_auge said it's be like a certain number of people need to be there on both sides in order for it to be "official" @Cloud The three I mentioned would be the ones I'd start out with and then I'd probably add something like objective based I was thought up another system at work that is sort of objective based where the raiding team has to complete objectives a, b, and c in order to win. The defending team has to complete objectives x, y, and z in order to win. Both teams would be trying to complete their own objectives while sabotaging the other teams efforts. This, to me, sounds fun but is also pretty complicated when it comes to what is thought of as a raid but would still be fun imo. Also until a raid becomes official, the server would just be a free for all. Also maybe each different mode would possibly have to have a certain number of players on each team to unlock because something like 20 v 5 tug of war just doesn't make sense.
