Ideally I'm looking at making a type of raid system that I at least haven't seen before.
Basically, it's 3 different types of competitive combat: capture the flag, tug of war, and like generic terminal.
At the start of the raid, when it becomes "official" - each team member can vote on what type of raid they want from the given choices. Majority wins and the duration of the raid is spent with the winning raid type.
Cap the Flag: There are flags on either side and the first to make it to x number of captures wins
Tug of war: an object starts in the middle of the arena and standing near the object makes it start to move toward your teams base. First person to get the object to their side x number of times wins
Terminals: Duh.
Pros:
Different
Fun
More dynamic
Cons:
Different modes could be better suited to different sized raiding/defending group sizes
People hate change
Higher potential for bugs and stuff being broken
???:
Not traditional
Have to use different tactics for different modes
People will always choose Term.
