People try to pit the two factions (elitism and old guard) against each other but I if they were combined, I'd imagine they'd help each other a lot. so why the separation? what do you stand to gain from that?

because superclans have noobs in them. if you wanna get a name for yourself you need good raiders to win raids and wars, not bad people. take FEAR for example, their elites are decent but meanwhilst the rest of their group is bad and therefore FEAR don't have the best reputation and have to have a very defender sided base due to their bad defenders. i light people up

Because why mix a group of active, trained, disciplined, and more well-rounded group of members with a group of active, non-skilled, undisciplined, and less talented group of individuals? Superclans have nothing but numbers and income. It's rare to find a superclan with numbers, skill, etc.

undef: get new material for your stand up pal Lum: but you have a broader recruitment base to work with. Just because your elitist group is part of a super clan doesn't mean you let them all in. LadyV: Same as I said to Lum. My point is that elitist clans can thrive much better in a super clan with a larger recruitment base and stable backing + brand recognition and retain its skills. I'm not supposing that they merge entirely but rather that the super clan and elite division / sub group collaborate under 1 banner but with different identities.
