Training LRs is a huge part of an MR/HRs responsibilities, so it should be known how to do it correctly. Below will be a guide on how to host and how to train. Trainees - Head Waiter/Waitresses may be trained, and Head Waiter/Waitresses may be promoted to Interviewer in Training at trainings if they pass 5/5 stages and if there is enough room for them (see IiT rank limit).

| HOW TO HOST TRAINING SESSIONS |
NOTE: Supervisors + may host sessions without permission. Interviewer in Training + may cohost the session with direct permission from the host.
Before anything, you must sign up for the time slot that you are going to host via Trello Session Sign Up Board. Once you have done that, make sure you arrive at the I.C about 5-10 minutes before the session's designated start time. Slock the session about 5 minutes after the session has begun and make sure to change the shout. There are a few steps to follow to make sure you are hosting correctly, which will be listed below.
1. Once you have arrived about 5-10 minutes before the session is supposed to begin, cape yourself host by saying :cape me host.
2. If there are other MR/HRs there, send out a PM asking if anyone would like to train. First come, first serve, so make sure there are only about 3-4 trainers. If you would like a cohost, you may ask someone if they would like to cohost for you. Cohosts must be an Interviewer in Training+. Cape the trainers, :cape ___ trainer, and the cohost, :cape ___ cohost.
3. Change the setmessage to something like, "Welcome to Trainings! We will begin at _:__. In the meantime, please wait patiently in the lobby. You can change the setmessage by saying, :setmessage _____.
4. Get all the trainers, cohost, and yourself to line up on the neon blue line in the training room. Make sure you are all facing towards the correct wall and are shoulder to shoulder.
5. You may begin to bring the LRs into the trainings room by using the :bring command. You do not need their permission to bring them up to the training room, but do when you bring them anytime else. Make sure the LRs are all on the wall facing towards the trainers, STS (shoulder to shoulder).
6. Use the :m to welcome them to trainings and go over the rules. Our three rules are:
- Always use grammar at all times, as it is required for all ranks.
- Make sure to respect your trainer, as they are taking time out of their day to train you.
- Note that trainings are not for promotions, though you may be rewarded with one if you exceed expectations.
7. Introduce yourself with a small introductory phrase, and then go around to the cohost and trainers and announce their name over the :h and allow them to say an introductory phrase as well.
8. Ask people to shout out themes, themes would be like dog breeds, colours, songs, bands, etc. Broad topics are best. Choose the two most popular and send out a vote by saying :vote all 10 ____ (yes) or ______ (no). Make sure to specify which topic is yes and which is no. Once you get the results, announce them. Then you will go to each trainer and ask them to pick a specific from the topic. Once they do, name them 'Team (what they picked).
For example, if the theme chosen was 'Foods', you would go around to each trainer and they would pick a food. You would name them 'Team (the food they picked).
You may name yourself a Team, but it is only if you would like to train, which is optional. Same goes for the cohost.
9. Name each LR a ##r#esponding name with one of the trainers. Make sure each trainer gets an equal amount of LRs to train.
10. Tell the trainers to spread out and the LRs to go find their trainer and let the session begin!
NOTE: To learn how to properly shout for a training session, go to the Shouting Instruction part of the handbook.

| HOW TO TRAIN |
If you are a trainer, and once the teams have been chosen and you have been split up into your groups, ask everyone how they are doing, or welcome them to your team. Try to do something to make them less nervous and feel more welcomed. Then, you will go into the five stages that are below.
1. GRAMMAR
For this stage, you will ask or PM each member of your group to correct a sentence that has bad grammar. Each member of your group should get about 3 sentences to correct.
Example - hulLo @nd w3lc0me 2 l3 c@fe de la m@r h0w c@n i help u!
2. INTROS
Simply have each member of your group give you their intro that they would greet a customer with at the counter. Give them small critiques on it, if needed.
3. FOOD RUSH
Give each member of your group an order of about 2-4 items on the menu, and have them go grab that item and give it to you. Or, if you have admin, you may just say :viewtools ____.
4. TROLLING
Give each member of your group a trolling scenerio similar to one that they might encounter at the Cafe, and have them deal with you as they would a troller at the cafe.
5. TRIVIA
Ask some basic questions to your group, about 2-3 questions per member. They can be true or false, yes or no, fill in the blank, etc.

After you have completed all five stages, decide if anyone in your group is ready for a promotion. If they passed 4/5 stages, it is recommended to promote them. If they passed lower than 3/5 I would definatley not promote them. Thank them for coming and dismiss them. Then, you are finished. :) |
