'Twas a morning... bristly entering the common room inside the dorm I noticed a serene feeling of tense desire on my fellow comrades. It had been only yesterday since we demolished the capital of VOID and yet it was known certain rebellious individuals had remained hidden in locations around the castle we now held dearly. I grabbed me some food and settled down next to... well that's classified. He was quietly eating while watching the recruits nearby with ice cold eyes calculating the next move of our assault. While it was his job after-all, not many people noticed him for his true role. The only people who knew were individuals like myself tasked with following all his directives in the darkness.
But between me and you, the only person who actually gave the directives was myself. My role was to stay hidden within the hidden, and for that I required extra protective measures like my esteemed friend who was very gracious in his activity in acting like a leader.
“Meet me later, I believe I’ve cracked the vault… but I’ll need some time before I can activate the secret weapon left by ISOLAYTOR’s men… Just make sure the others know to keep a strict eye on any fail-safes implanted, I would hate to see someone lose an arm let alone their marbles” I said in a joking manner.
That brought a soft chuckle to my friend, and as he rose to take his meal to the trash he looked back and winked. |
