Actually, if you open a place in Studio Mode and run it (with your character ingame) you can change the catalog ID's of your character's clothing to that of literally anything in the shop - great for trying stuff on! I know it's kind of a workaround but it could be ages before something like this is implemented and who wants to wait until then to double check?
