Okay, just to clarify that I know this is WNTS, but I'll still share my suggestion regardless.
I would first like to state that the community is too corrupt because of the young immature adolescents, they are immature kids who "try" to act like 18 year olds. While there are still matured teens, the main audience for ROBLOX is 8-12 year olds which I find very disappointing for these reasons:
ROBLOX is a very diverseplatform that allows for coding, scripting (Lua), programming, and maybe building. Yet we have little immature kids who ruin the community for us and we have these people who pull ROBLOX down and force them to be more and more kid friendly.
I'm not sure why, but I always think of ROBLOX as Steam except PG. The main difference is that Steam is only for kids 13+ yet children still lie their age. Let's be honest here, majority of all players lie there age, so what difference does it make? ROBLOX thinks that just because you're younger than 13, you should be filtered with this hashtag system which censors everything. So what difference does it make? You think that chat system even works? Everyone lies their age. Remember about a week ago ROBLOX made that new logo? That also came with a bunch of children toys! When I ever mention "I play ROBLOX" at my school, people will start laughing at me and go on how it's a "kid's" game. Well, here you are, the reasons why it's a "kids" game.
So what is wrong with making it 13+? I, mean, children lie their age anyways, and rarely any parent restricts them from playing games.
Making it PG13+ will allow for a more mature audience which is what a lot of people wanted until ROBLOX gets sponsored by children TV Shows, making toys, promoting filtering, etc.
Children will eventually learn how to swear, admins. A lot of people lie thier age, if you didn't realize. I can guarantee you will get a better audience. |

You aren't wrong. The majority of the user base who plays the games are not 13+. I agree with getting rid of the filtering being so strict. The are words that can be banned. However symbols and numbers shouldn't. I can't paste a script anymore without it breaking indentation and masking the numbers and symbols.
They could at least do a little quirk where instead of #, they could put a Unicode is so that is mature programmers could decipher with a plugin. In fact, it seems like a great idea to have everyone follow this method. To get around their poor filter. |

Roblox should be more 13+ friendly, so no more stupid safety chat for people who are above 13+ and still have it, roblox will be much better, stupid kid-friendly updates |

Hi!
I definitely get where you are coming from. However, maybe instead of changing Roblox completely, they develop Roblox+. Roblox, could be designed for younger players, while Roblox+ is designed for older ones.

splitting the Roblox community based of age will never work, it's not hard for kids and people to lie about age so developing "roblox+" wouldn't do much except take more development resources away from the main site.

If it was 13+ some of the immature kids who put their age above 13 could still play and ruin the community.
Then the opposite issue:
The people that are 10-12 but mature get banned from roblox because it's 13+ |

@Eathan; Immature not age wise like not little squeakers trying to make dank memes and trying to give ROBLOX a bad image. Let's be honest here, if you mention "I play ROBLOX to your classmates," they most likely will start laughing at you and say it's a "kids" game when it's for all ages.

That's not fair.
I'm under 13 and I think I act pretty mature.I support removing safechat,not banning those who have it.

Not all little kids are immature,yes their minds aren't fully developed but they can act mature.
This is why we require a verified account. Assuming the parent is smart enough to check the children's browser, kids won't be able to get in contact with people without parental approval.
I am young, but I am learning scripting and plan on eventually using Developer Exchange, it fair to ban me because I'm a little younger than you?And by the way, many of us spent money on this game, and then all of our effort and time we put into our accounts is gone.
Also, you know very well this isn't going to stop little kids, it's just going to encourage lying about your age.
