Upon completion of the Basic Combat Training program, enlistees will recite the Oath of Enlistment among attending citizens, peers, and National Guard personnel. Seen below:
"I, (state name of enlistee),
do solemnly swear,
to support and defend,
the Constitution of the United States,
against all enemies,
foreign and domestic;
that I will bear true faith,
and allegiance to the same;
and that I will obey,
the orders of,
the Governor of New York,
and the orders of,
those officers appointed over me,
according to regulations,
and the Uniform Code of Military Conduct.
So help me God."
This is an oath that you will withhold, and be held accountable to abide by. By going against the Oath of Enlistment, will result in dishonorable discharge. |
