what about a clan can stand out more than their tech? clans already use all sorts of different systems regarding how their group functions, better games = better clans 'cause it attracts more people and makes the clan world more active.

And it does feel like it's a bit of a competition between the clans to try and supress themselves with more polished stuff. Kinda interesting really.

Good, may the best clan win. as far as I know, Rat, Fear, VOID, and Frigid are all working on new tech.

I think those, along with vak ("just cause they're vak") are gonna be the most relevant and popping clans
