This is the guide for the Wachen Korps. This will tell about guarding formations, skill, and how to act when guarding.
Rules:
*Only guard with the Kar fitted with bayonet (If Kar is not provided, say, another game, use the gun(s) you have).
*Only speak when spoken to.
*When speaking, if it's to a higher rank, say "Herr." at the end of the sentence.
*Do not let visitors or any unauthorized person(s) and or army personnel (LRs, etc.) anywhere near the person you are guarding.
*Always protect the person you're guarding.
Formations: These are the different formations when guarding...
- X Formation: This formation needs at least four guards in order to perform. One guard goes to the front right of the player in question who is being guarded, then another to the front left, another player in the back right, and the other to the back left, creating an "X" shape. This is the basic guarding formation.
- Square Formation: This can either be done with four or eight guards. One guard goes to the right of the player in question who is being guarded then another in front, another to the left, and the other behind, each facing the direction they are guarding. If there are eight players, one player can face at a right incline from the player being guarded, another facing left incline, another in the back facing right incline from the player being guarded, and the other facing left incline. This formation is mostly used when the person being guarded is under threat, and is meant for maximum protection.
- Shoulder to Shoulder Formation: This formation only needs two guards. One guard stands beside the player in question's left, and the other to the right. This formation can be substituted from the X formation if there are not enough guards to perform the formation.
Officer Positions: These are the positions in a formation where officer(s) (If there is any) should be...
- X Formation: Only two officers can be in this formation, both in the front.
- Square Formation: Only one officer can be in this formation, in the front.
- Shoulder to Shoulder Formation: Only one officer can be in this formation, to the right of the person being guarded.
Drills: These are the drills and commands every guard should know...
- "Form X around [Insert rank and name here]!": All guards form X formation around the person being guarded.
- "Form Square around [Insert rank and name here]!": All guards form Square formation around the person being guarded.
- "Form STS on [Insert rank and name here]!": All guards from Shoulder to Shoulder formation on person being guarded.
- "Guard this post!": If a Wachen Korps Offizier or the person you are guarding says this, stay within that area, and Rest Arms (H).
Guarding Protocols: This is what you do in certain situations when guarding...
When guarding, perform Shoulder Arms (J) with your Kar.
If a visitor, unauthorized person(s) and or army personnel approaches the person you are guarding, get between the person approaching and the person you are guarding, Guard Arms (G), and say "Back off!". If the person does not comply, present your Kar and stab them once with your bayonet. If they still do not comply, kill them.
If you are walking with the person you are guarding, and you are approaching other people, say "Make way!", so they can get out of the way.
Before any person you are guarding starts moving, they will say "Marsch!", that way you will know and be prepared to follow them.
All personnel in the Wachen Korps should look through this and memorize it.
