-butler didnt have as much help as you think -stopped run at least on a couple plays by having 3 defenders take away the dge, and relying on lbs/hybrid (from other side) to fill hole

leveon was shut down while he was out there and deangelo would start for a lot of teams so.....

there was one play where the 3 defenders took away the edge, but the 2 backside linemen/linebackers crashed to far to the middle. leveon couldve bounced it outside but i guess thats not his style. he continued to hesitate and went up the middle for only 3 yards

new england stopped a crossing pick route out of a bunch formation by having an lb showing blitz drop into the hole and bumping the crossing receiver within the 5 yard limit. that same wr (te technically) turned his route into an out route and completed a ctahc for the first down so far i dont think ive seen a true 2 high safety play. pats love matching their safeties on tes. bring in 2 tes and youre likely to get 2 safeties. anything less than 2 tes and youll get 3 safeties, with 2 likely playing man and duron harmon high

"'stopped run' 'STOPPED RUN' STOPPED THE RUN? I'M JUST DEAD LMAO THEY DIDN'T HAVE LEVEON BELL ONE OF THE TOP 5 RBs IN THE NFL AND WE HAVE 2 TOP 10s" Williams is usually a reliable backup. Outside a few good runs he got shutdown pretty much. Also, I don't think there would have been much of a difference if Bell weren't injured. They did lose by 19 points. "I would never lie. patriots didnt truly double team brown until goal line situations

tell-tale signs pats werent in man coverage: -logan ryan was not lined up on the 2nd best wr -safety was not lined up on a tight end except for in empty sets sometimes presnap it looked like man coverage, but if the alignment did not fit this criteria, it was not ma coverage. instead, it was cover 2 coverage with the mlb playing a very deep hole and the outside corners following receivers vertical to a certain extent

new england did have a very interesting double team play on antonio brown they lined up in a man look with 2 high safeties. the back side cb (logan ryan) took one deep third while the backside safety (devin mccourty) took the deep middle zone. instead of anyone taking the final deep third, butler guarded brown's outside/deep threat while the safety (patrick chung) came down and took away the middle from brown

pats where a cover 3 where malcolm butler was the left corner and played man on brown. the left safety took that deep third, the right safety took deep middle, and the right corner took that deep third. the slot corner along with the 3 linebackers took the hook spaces.
