This new system for Alaska State Troopers was established in 1/25/2017 by the members of HiComm.
The system allows trooper to log their patrols and/or training to most likely promoted. As most HiComm members say on the shout, "Patrol Anchorage, promotions will be handed out." But they never hand out promotions... with this new system, promotions MUST be handed out.
This system has been ruled out as an "Official Policy." Meaning that this system MUST be followed. As its a policy, troopers can have this feature on their side. Where as if it was NOT a policy, HiComm can or can not promote someone.
The Policy states:
PC10.20: THE PATROL LOGS SYSTEM SHALL BE USED IN PATROLS. IT SHALL ALLOW STATE TROOPERS TO BE PROMOTED FOR ATTENDING PATROLS

For training, its another story. The trooper can log their training, in hopes of getting promoted. This unfortunately Internal Affairs did not rule this as an "Official Policy."
Cullen6soccer6 a representative with Internal Affairs stated,
"Internal Affairs feels as this should not be a policy, as troopers can get 2 sets of a promotion. It can be used in hopes rather" -Cullen6soccer6
