The Valuker clan started out as a small gathering of Sith on Korriban around 26,000 BB####his small clan of ruthless Sith travelled far and wide spreading the Valuker name throughout the galaxy as planet after planet fell to their rule.
Characterized by their distinctive skill with the Force and their primitive looking weaponry, the Valuker clansmen were easily distinguishable from the other Sith. The Valuker however did not fight to spread their ideals but instead to gain power and to strike fear in the hearts of their enemies.
Full blooded Valuker, up until the emergence of the Clone Wars, have always carried two key features, pure white hair and one red eye. These two characteristics have time and time again allowed for their enemies to distinguish them from crowds, and in recent years, most Valuker have taken to hiding their appearance. Full blooded Valuker are blind from birth in their red eye and use the Force to help guide them as, even from childhood, most are very skilled in it's use.
Valuker clansmen have developed two of their own Saber styles, the Mak-Jo and the Cin-Sha. The first being entirely based around Offensive acrobatics and the second being lost several thousand years before the Clone Wars.
At the age of 15 all Valuker clansmen, both male and female, are forced out into an uninhabited planet where they are to take their Blood trials. The trials consist of one week's time to find and hunt down the most dangerous beast on the planet and take it's head. For the Valuker that fail and or die, they are regarded as failures and forced to live the rest of their lives in solitude after having their red eye taken from them. Due to this tradition many Fathers have seen to their son's exile and strained family relations for generations to come.
All Valuker who fail their trials have one chance at redemption in an event known simply as the "Recht auf Leben" where they can fight the head of their respective household for the right to keep their name. The fight is a fight to the death and the winner often comes out with more guilt than pride.
Valuker clansmen have held numerous positions in the galaxy, from Dark Lords to Jedi Council and have very high respect for one another despite their differing views on the Force. Throughout recorded history there have even been several couples within the Valuker lineage that were on both sides of the Force.
Valuker bloodline always, without fail, produce three children and it is said that only two of them ever keep their name. While it is not impossible for the third to pass the trials, it is often unheard of.
The Valuker are very tradition bound people and often will sneak away simply to honor their ancestors and practice some of the most well kept secrets of the family for months at a time before returning to their normal lives.
Currently, the Valuker are lead by Ysserin, the oldest living member, and are pre-dominantly Jedi, however there are still several Sith among their ranks.
