I actually never see anyone talk about this but it's rather prominent in today's clan world. Rather than have to deal with rage quitters on the defender's end, clans put up a max number of raiders who can be in a server to make pending useless. I find this rather cowardice and just plain stupid. This doesn't help the clan world in any sense. Notable clans with a raider limit: AC, JC, FOA(I believe) |

In anycase I've mixed feelings on the raider limit script I personally don't mind it I'll win anyway

The thing you have to keep in mind though felgrim is that numbers aren't everything. The base itself makes up for at least 70% of the gameplay if you have a really fair base then its easy to make it a 15v15 if the more defender sided a base is the less defenders it should have and vice versa

from a map making standpoint i would rather have numbers set to its design limits
a good example is at northern gates. I built the map for a 12v12 and adjusted the map so that its a 10v14 as there would always be more people raiding then defending
in certain maps like ng having that one offset player would skewed the balance harder then a sleet clan base

I often add raider limit when the raid is unofficial so it can get defenders up quicker and less arguing over who has to leave. When it's official the raider limit is removed. |

tho i have been working on a player scaling system that gives certain features/buffs depending on your numbers
IE
lower numbers = faster cap times
or
routes being blocked or opened up

How does not having a raider limit make the base free wins? If your side is too incompetent to keep defenders in the server for 30 min to an hour you deserve to lose. |

well i can easily add it to our fort but im saving it for a bigger project
something along the lines of SMGs, or tech that everyone uses

most raid time limits are at the least an hour and a half
Fleetcoms is like 3 hours lol

The map could have an effect on how many people in the server total, and obviously you don't want to completely outnumber the defenders. Think it's mostly to keep things fair. |

Because if the raiders have 20 people flooding the server and 20 more ready, and the defenders can only get in 6, then it becomes impossible to even the odds because more raiders are pending than defenders. |
