Ive retold this one too many times but
I went to see Coheed & Cambria a year or two ago and at about 10:00 not even half way into their set the storm clouds that had been hanging around earlier started rolling in and it was pouring rain, eventually lighting came. So the show was delayed for a half hour. I went up onto a balcony over the venue (it was in a courtyard) with about 200 or so people up there and all the sudden... tornado warning!
So basically I got stuck up on a 2nd story outdoor balcony while a tornado rolled thru town. We were all getting pelted with rain, there was lightning illuminating everything, not to mention the wind... it was more fun than the show itself!
Another time I went with a friend to see The Smashing Pumpkins and Marilyn Manson at Pine Knob (huge outdoor ampitheater near Detroit, love going there) and while we were exploring the place between sets we saw some guy that had just ODed getting rushed out to an ambulance on a stretcher. I think that was the same show where we jumped off a wall to get past a line of people. |
