The planet of Kaiturn has been a member of the Republic ever since it first formed, and a member of the Old Republic before that (Joined about 70 years before the Mandalorian War).
Kaiturn has provided thousands of volunteer troopers to the Republic (And hundreds of thousands to the Old Republic) over the years, and even has its own fleet aiding in the Clone Wars. The fleet consists of:
2 Venator-Class Star Destroyers (The Calypso and The Nightingale)
3 Acclamator-Class ships.
Many Consular and CR90 Corvette ships.
Many other ships including ARC-170s and Z95s.
Kaiturn, despite having been a faithful and powerful member of the Republic, it has been rarely assaulted by the enemy. It is thought that this is due to it's location and extraordinary defense strategies.
Before joining the Old Republic, Kaiturn was isolated for the most part, despite being in the Inner Rim. As such, it's history was mainly peaceful except for a few dark times in its history including it's own civil war (Near the time of the Jedi Civil War) and being ransacked by a large Mandalorian army during the Mandalorian wars.
Kaiturn's Government believes in continuing the war, and believes that we need more clone production as well as more volunteer troopers. It spends much of its resources building and repairing ships as well as paying its troopers for their service.
