Anyone have a geographic sense of clans?

If I hear about a war between two clans that are not linked to my clan and do not raid us, then I get a sense that the war is "far off". If a war involves one of our allies and somebody who raids us/we raid infrequently then the war seems closer. Every base is a few clicks away of course, but does anyone else get this feeling?
