He was saying that you will be held accountable for your actions whether you have a mental disability or not. So he wouldn't even attempt it, if it were him. Though, we did have a very successful officer in the past who had minor autism. So it is possible. Good on you for trooping on despite your handicaps.

Also. I don't recall any instance where VAK has specified any age group to come join. Age isn't much of a factor.

@Brunen Actually, I know of two ex-officers who have had it. Both of which are actually capable of spelling basic words correctly. So maybe you should be a little bit more careful next time.

As someone who works with disabled children on a daily basis: Being disabled or mentally handicapped shouldn't give you a pass into VAK. Go ahead and join but you're being held to the same standard as everyone else.
