The "Ban" is temporary and only for 120 days so they can review the current vetting process and implement a new and improved one. Past Democratic presidents, more recently Obama, have done the same thing.

It's not really a "ban", there are just more limitations. What he said in a sense was that people from the 7 select countrys would be asked different questions and depending on their answers they would move on to different processes.

What is it then? Is it the Dakota pipeline that was way further away from the water source that people made it out to be? Is it the fact that he wants to enforce a current law that you can't just walk into America, you need to go through a process to become a citizen? I think it's mainly because of how he acted pretty obnoxious during his campaign and some of the statements he has made now that he's president, people criticize him a lot because of some of his cabinet choices

Actually... The immigration policy will prioritize "provided that the religion of the individual is a minority religion in the individual’s country of nationality". So it does have to do with what faith you list down on the documents.
