------------RECEIVING THE RIGHTS TO AN ARQEBUS/MATCHLOCK RIFLE/MATCHLOCK MUSKET------------
Either you have been placed into the matchlock ashigaru subdivison, or received a promotion, the right to use the arqebus is valued highly. Failure to use the weapon correctly will result in a demotion.
Friendly fire will result in an instant demotion. Accidental friendly fire results in misdemeanors.

------------CODE OF COMMONS (CODE OF CONDUCT)------------
The following is the code that ashigaru must abide by.
Note that this is our code of conduct. You do not follow monk or samurai code of conduct. You are required at all times to listen to the daimyo's orders whether it is peace or war.
The following is [actual group conduct] that ashigaru must follow:
- Do not harm women or children, with some exceptions. (1)
- Do not harm visitors, with some exceptions. (2)
- In times of peace, you are expected to guard and protect the fortress.
- Attack and fight raiders.
- Do not waste high ranking officers' time.
- Always follow the daimyo and his subordinates.
- Always obey orders from the daimyo or his subordinates.
- At times, you may be needed to become police in a province.
- Failure to follow orders from higher ranking results in a demotion. Further cases of this results in exile. (3)
(1) This is void if the following attack you:
- Onna-bugeisha
- Samurai
- Ashigaru
- Monk warriors/nuns
(2) See (1), exception is another clan's daimyo or personal retainer UNLESS they attack you.
(3) Monks and Sōhei (Monk Warrior) do not count as higher ranks.
