As we've all seen within the past month or so, games have been taken down or put "under review" at a constant pace for having no filter system. Sometimes it's an admin or sometimes it's a model they forgot to filter. However, they're taking it TOO far. Multiple games I used to play are being taken down for NO reason that have NOTHING to do with chatting - all they use is the ROBLOX chat. Or, they'll have an admin commands system that doesn't filter, such as Adonis, that can't be changed. As a game creator myself, I feel threatened knowing that my game might use an admin system that might not "have filters" and because of that might be taken out. So, remove this "Under Review" system, and replace it with a new one. This is my suggestion for a new filter system - the chat and the under review system.
1. The "Under Review" system
This one ticks me off more than the chatting problem. Honestly, I can't even play some of my FAVORITE GAMES, and as mentioned before, I feel threatened with this because my game may be taken down due to some stupid admin system. So, I suggest this: If a game is taken down due to a free model [such as an admin command system like Adonis] the creator of the model should be responsible. ROBLOX should send a message to the creator of the game saying they removed the model that caused it, IF it's a free model, put the free model under review, and move on. That's all. No "Under review" bullcrap because ROBLOX is too lazy.
Now, if it's taken down because something that the creator created, then it should be put under review. ROBLOX should personally tell them via PM what is AGAINST the rules so they know what it is and that they can fix it, and ALL of the problems, not just one of them. I know a game that was put under review THREE TIMES because of this - ROBLOX being a lazy kebab. Once the problem's fixed, the user should reply to ROBLOX, then do a double check to see if everything that's against the rules are gone. If it is, then the game isn't under review anymore. If it isn't, ROBLOX replies them back what still isn't fixed. PERIOD. This is how it should be.
Now yes, I do understand that ROBLOX is busy with other stuff such as reports, updates, etc.. but if you WANT a strict rule-system on your games, atleast make it reasonable.
B. Chat Filters
Another thing that ticks me off MASSIVELY about ROBLOX games is their chat filters. For the love of Shedletsky, ROBLOX, you've made it impossible to communicate from person-to-person. Just leave the big-boy words filtered and their chat-bypasses. It's that simple. Don't make unnecessary words filtered.
Another thing. You know those NPC chat-bubble thingies, or the :Chat thing in scripting? Just make that auto-filter - you don't need another function for it. That's just another pathetic excuse to get a game under review, further ruining the ROBLOX community.
C. Parental Controls
Credit to another thread for some of these ideas [forgot the OP of it, oh well]. Let's say I'm a sixteen year old kiddo and I'm still playing ROBLOX [how ironic] and I want to say those mild big-boy words. Well, with Parental Controls, parents can adjust the filters of what they can hear and say. Every person MUST have a parent's ##### [this'll replace the regular ###### that the parent's can adjust. There will be those smart kids who just put in their OWN ###### but most of the ROBLOX community are mindless 7 year old boys, so who says they even know what an ##### is? And if you have the intelligence to put in your own emai#####+] then you can set your own filters.
Parents will be able to chose the filters that your child can use. There's three kinds of filters: Heavy, Medium, and None. Heavy is a huge amount of Filter, Medium allows some filter to slip by, and none is well.. none. Only parents can change this by unlocking a 4-digit PIN. However, to activate No Filters, and to avoid little kids from activating it, you have to have one of those verification phones sent to your phone AND a valid ########### ###### to approve you either have parent permission or your an adult. And incase if the account your child holds is exploited, the cred######d####b###### your phon#####b######'t save for safety purposes.
D. FilteringEnabled and non-FilteringEnabled games.
I say keep the rule for the above 13 no filtering enabled games. I like the idea - little kids will be safe from it. However, if Parental Controls ARE added, Medium filter needs to be activated in order to access Non-FilteringEnabled games.

I saw that thread, it explains that too. However, they've taken it TOO far. Innocent games are being taken down that don't even have scripts relating to a second-party/hand chat. Risk Univeralis III is a good example of this and they were taken down THREE times although they have a filter-system of their own. ROBLOX didn't even give them a warning of what to fix or anything. They just put it under review.
You need to understand what's going on in ROBLOX before you start complaining, good sir.

what I'm saying is text filter, they added text filter.
so if you see what I meant was read the whole damn passage (obviously you didn't) text filter filters name text such as things like adopt and raise a baby games, they have name changers and they need to have an update called text filter which is like the chat filter however more appropriate so soccer moms wont start getting roblox on the daily news |
