Because I actually got to see most of all the games this week, I decided what better thing to have and talk about then our leagues Power Rankings. So here it is, the first ever DBL PR of Season 14 6. Los Angeles Aliens Well, this game didn't last # full inning, ending in # forfeit for the Aliens in the bottom of the first inning, being only down 3-0. The Aliens started out with 6 players, and ended up only having 3 by the time they took the FFTL. They did not look like a team, and just did not make the right decisions in personnel this offseason. This being said, their pitching is weak, and they just havent bonded that team connection. 5. Baltimore Rammers Coming off of # season where they folded under all expectations of # 7-1 start, seemingly not wanting to win the in the playoffs, they started off this season losing 11-5. The starting pitcher being RKOKingsom000, 6 time winner of the Cy Young award, gave up 7 runs in total before having to hand the ball over to alextoontown, who gave up 4 himself. The Rammers have looked the worst they have been in the past 7 seasons. They have a small roster which did not help things, and their hitting was not at its best. Granite, it is the first game of the season, maybe they can turn it around. 4. Miami Cyclone The first game back for the Cyclone franchise which seems to vanish every now and then turned out to be a game that didn't last thirty minutes. They took the win of the 3-0 Aliens game. They looked strong, team turnout was good too. They made a quick outing to start the first and only inning, and added on three runs quickly against the inferior Aliens pitching. 3. Minneapolis Steamrollers The steamrollers showed up for this game, at least when it comes down to the players that appeared. They reshaped their roster, adding veteran tiresomeguy03 which is a huge acquisition, as well as the Most Improved Player from last season, isponge2005. However, both of these players failed to get a hit in their first game vs the Detroit Bulls, and isponge was immediately cut, and signed with the Cyclones in time to play two games this week. (In which he hit a homerun in his only at bat.) The Steamrollers culture has yet to change from what it has been since their back to back Crown Series losses in S9-S10. 2. Detroit Bulls Oh boy, the Bulls. After changing ownership and management after an 0-5 start, they ended up getting all the way to the Crown Series, sweeping the Rammers and Cyclone (Formerly the River City Aces), only to be swept. Here they faced off against the Steamrollers, winning 4-0, as FOURTEEN PLAYERS showed up for the game. Rookie sensation pitcher jackdabae, playing in his second season, started off the game, and finished it, his fourth Complete Game shutout in his seven appearances on the mound. The Bulls were fantastic fielding wise, but the veterans they signed in the off season struggled, going 1 for 8, and a total 4 for 15 for the entire roster. Both rookies, SportsGamer and MDeaf played great in the field, and SportsGamer got a doub#e in his first career at bat. 1. New York Tyrants Well, this is the same team that just won the Crown Series. They beat the Rammers which have taken a decline in convincing fashion. Theres not much to say about this team. They hit well, and they kept the game out of reach. Each player had at least one hit, no one batting below .500. They looked good as expected, starting the game off strong. They had more home runs in that game than all other teams combined. The stats say it all.
