Role 1: Human Resources Manager OVERVIEW: In charge of managing officials off the field. This includes rule quizzes, working with league on rule updates, dealing with incompetant officials, paying officials, and working with Operations Manager to rank referees accordingly ===== PAY: Would track pay with trello. Pay would not be graded, but simply for refereeing games in an exponential compound form. The more games you ref, the more you get paid for each game. Formula is not quite worked out yet. IDEA: Higher level officials would have a skewed formula so they earn more then lower level officials: makes officials want to become better to be ranked up HOW IT WOULD BE TRACKED: Instead of the grading GUI, all referees would hit the button and say how many quarters they reffed and who reffed with them. This would ensure people would do it so they receive pay and it would tell me if anyone is lying about who reffed the game. ====== RANKING (Level 1, 2, 3 Officials) Would work with developers to have an easy way to track these officials levels in each game and enforce a rule where you have to be a level 2 official to head referee games and the highest level would take precedent over a lower level. Would work with operations manager in order to spot more active refs through pay trello and spot highest performing referees from the operations manager. ===== INCOMPETENT OFFICIALS: Would work with enforcing penalty for officials who officiate illegally or people who do not know how to official who get into game. Would work with commissioner in handing out 1 week suspensions for refereeing without being in ref group. ==== RULE CREATION: Would work with Commissioner and Head of EB in order to create new rules to be voted on and to remove outdated rules. Would ask league what rules they want ======================================== Role 2: Operations Manager OVERVIEW: In charge of operations on gameday, make sure each game has equal number of referees, makes sure games have referees, in charge of relaying game times to officials, in charge of going to games and supervising officials for potential rank ups, in charge of refereeing a lot of games when possible. In charge of knowing mechanics and rules perfectly to set a good example to other officials of how to officiate properly Not many specific things here need explanation, but basically he needs to make sure games run smoothly and he clears up disputes during gameday and removes officials who are not officiating properly. Also makes sure no games are being rigged or abused. Works with league on protests.
