######## ###### in the war of 1812, was discovered to have helped the British retake westpoint, was declared a traitor. Would have likely been an American founding father if not for his betrayal.

Richard the Lionheart was wounded in battle by a French crossbowman. The crossbowman was later captured and brought before Richard (who was succumbing to his wounds). Richard ordered that the crossbowman not be harmed. After Richard died, his men executed the crossbowman regardless.

one of the biggest revenge in history is Admiral Yi againts the japanese The Japanese warred Korea and steamrolled mainland japan but admiral yi became annoying and winning naval battles without losing any ships he kept on being outnumbered in ships and continuing to win. these naval battles basically won korea the war, because japan were cut off supplies and the leader who even started the war died and the council just wanted to pull out buy admiral yi saw how the japanese slaughtered his people and he wasn't going to have any retreat and basically single handly won the war ;P

"brutus & friends shanking Caesar " not revenge, brutus and several of the assassins were actually allies of caesar. they were mostly afraid of the impact of his reformation of rome into an empire on their political standing
